Hivernauts must be…
- 
Emotionally and spiritually prepared for hard work in the service of others
 
- 
Flexible and cheerful; willing to perform a variety of tasks as directed
 - 
Self-motivated and good at following directions and giving attention to detail
 - 
Willing to engage in the life of faith with the camp community
 - 
Excited to serve as the first line of hospitality for campers and guests
 - 
Over 18 years of age, or having completed high school
 
Responsibilities include…
- 
Hospitality: housekeeping, setting tables, serving meals and snacks, maintaining cleanliness and order
 - 
Assisting with gear and food packing and clean-up for wilderness trips
 - 
Groundskeeping: lawns and trimming, gardening
 - 
Meal prep: assist the cooks, wash dishes, put away deliveries
 - 
Program: participate in leading campfire, other program duties as directed
 - 
Perform a wide variety of tasks to keep the camp running smoothly
 
A word about the position title: ‘Hivernaut’ is a historical Voyageur title of honor, designating those Voyageurs who stayed at the fort rather than traveling back and forth from Montreal.
