Since Christian community is such a vital part of our mission, we live it at every level of our ministry.  Our full-time staff all live on-site at Camp, praying with and caring for one another as we work to support our shared ministry.

 

In the summer, our staff grows as we are joined by wilderness guides and summer support staff.  These young adult staff learn from the example of their leaders to live together with care, authenticity, and a commitment towards God’s kingdom.

 

Because they are already living it, our guides are able to share the experience of Christian community with their campers. Over the course of just one week in the wilderness together, we see the body of Christ come to vibrant life in many groups as they get real about the big questions of faith, face challenge together, and learn to value each member. As these groups take their experiences home, they empower their churches, organizations, and ultimately the whole body of Christ to be real, be challenged, and be changed.

 

Community isn’t just for campers. This work is supported by what we call “the Amnicon Community”--the donors and volunteers who make this mission possible. Many members stay connected to the camp throughout the year through newsletters, volunteer events, and gatherings around the region.  You can meet some members of the Amnicon community through their testimonials, and join them in supporting us.
