North Woods Wilderness Discovery Trip

 

With its intimate camp sites and welcoming atmosphere this is the perfect wilderness trip for smaller groups. Slip your canoe into the water, paddle out of sight of the landing, and look around. You’re treated to a view of nature, of wild beauty and its entire splendor. The gentle babble of the river is your companion at the wilderness campsite for your first night out on trail. Soon the river widens, as you enter the magnificent Turtle-Flambeau Flowage. Chances are you’ll hear the haunting call of a loon, or glimpse a deer as you navigate the clear blue waters. Camped on an island, your evening is spent at the water’s edge accompanied by the crackle of the campfire.
